It was with great surprise that we received today – note well, from the press, not directly from our business partners – that by request of the capital management company ACATIS we are to discontinue our fund advisory services, under the liability umbrella of BN & Partners Capital AG, for our successful Value Event balanced fund as of March 31, 2024, in accordance. This announcement is irritating for us, as we have not only initiated the fund and developed its strategy, but also delivered an impressive track record with numerous awards and top ratings, culminating in the “Fund Manager of the Year” awards in 2019 and 2024 awards for the fund advisors Dr. Uwe Rathausky und Henrik Muhle.
Against this backdrop, we had maintained a very good partnership and cooperation with ACATIS over the past fifteen years. ACATIS has now justified its decision in the press with the fact that we have launched another mixed fund in the meantime, the GANÉ Global Balanced Fund, fearing a competitive situation and outflows as a result. It should be noted that this fund, as well as the GANÉ Global Equity Fund, is indeed in high demand due to its performance. However, both pursue a different risk profile. ACATIS has also launched numerous new products over the past fifteen years, without us questioning our co-operation as a result.
Since the joint inception of the fund in 2008 we have implemented the value event investment philosophy of the former ACATIS GANÉ Value Event Fund (since 01.10.2022 ACATIS Value Event Fund) with great passion for the investors. We will exploit all possibilities to continue to provide this expertise to our loyal investors in the future.
Of course, we will continue to support our clients with our know-how and products despite the unexpected news.
